AS01/ 74 English handmade 15″ 1/2 viola by English maker Colin Cross. Labelled: ‘Colin Robert Cross Buxton 1998 England’. Fitted with Larsen Strings. Colin graduated from Newark School of Violin Making with a Distinction in 1989 and has been working as a maker and a restorer ever since. This viola comes with Maker’s Certificate of Authenticity with photos.

Two-piece back of maple medium, slightly irregular grain and medium to narrow flame. Ribs to match. neck of fine grain and faint curl. Front of medium regular grain spruce. Rosewood pegs, ebony tailpiece and chinrest. Red brown oil varnish.
