AS01/ 70 Circa 1930s German 4/4 violin bow. Branded ‘Aug. Edwin Prager’ ‘B&S’. Pernambuco round stick Silver mounted ebony frog with Parisian eye.
It is believed that Edwin August Prager (1875-1956) was initially apprenticed to his father Fredrich Wilhelm Prager in the 1880s/90s893 in Schönlind, Saxony, with his father Fredrich Wilhelm Prager. It is reported that he also worked for a year at Bausch workshop in Leipzig.
