This Circa 1800 German 4/4 violin is labelled ‘Martin Leismiller in Krin ben Mittenwald 1775’. The two piece back is of birds eye maple, unfigured and slab cut. It has had a neck graft of flamed maple plus the peg box has had a facing repair and fitted with Wittner geared pegs.
A beautiful, slender, narrow waisted violin which is highly arched.
Fitted with Larsen II Cannone Soloist strings (Not pictured)
