AS02/ 46 Pre-owned 15 1/4″ Viola by Derek Roberts

The viola is labeled ‘DEREK ROBERTS MAKER Leamington Spa 1990’. It has a two piece back of medium flamed maple ascending across the back from the centre joint. The ribs, neck and scroll are of matching maple. The front of the instrument is of fine, regular grained spruce. Varnished in a dark, chestnut brown colour with some shading. This viola is furnished with ebony pegs, tailpiece and chinrest and has been set-up with Larsen Aurora strings at Moseley Violins.

Derek Roberts is a professional violin maker who holds a Diploma with Distinction in Violin Making and Repair from the Welsh School of Instrument Making and Repair.
