One-piece back of medium grain maple with matching ribs and scroll. Front of medium grain spruce. Antiqued spirit-based varnish. Ebony pegs and chin rest and Wittner Ultra tailpiece.

Paul Hawley studied at the Birmingham School of Jewellery, and came from a career in designing and creating dies and tools. This background, his woodworking skills and his life-long interest in music and musical instruments lead him to becoming a luthier.
