MV19/ 56A Circa 1890 German 4/4 violin based on a Strad pattern
A German violin, Circa 1890, which is based on a Strad pattern. The violin is labelled ‘Antonius Stradiuarius Cremonensis Faciebat Anno 1727’. Featuring ebony pegs, fingerboard and chinrest, plus a composite tailpiece with integral adjusters. The one piece back is of maple with a slightly angled grain. The front is of spruce which is medium grained. Set-up at Moseley Violins with Larsen Virtuoso strings.
